MOSCOW, Aug 25 (PRIME) -- U.S.-based soft drink producer Coca-Cola has confirmed that an explosion took place at its plant in western Moscow at around 2:00 p.m. Moscow time Thursday injuring three people, Irina Arkhipova, PR director at Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia, told PRIME.
The facility is currently operating in usual mode. The company is cooperating with emergency services and a full investigation of the situation will be held, Arkhipova said.
The Emergency Ministry earlier denied media reports of an explosion at the facility. Later, the ministry’s specialists uncovered small damages of the plant’s non-load-bearing walls.
A source at the city’s emergency services said that an inner wall of the plant’s warehouse collapsed during the explosion of an unidentified device.
